I had my doubts about the dub until I saw that the twins voices synced close enough that it was decent. Vic as Tamaki is great. Kyoya is good too. Other than that, it is decent. I've seen worse.

I've heard from many people that the manga was funnier than the anime, but i've just been too lazy to really read the manga. I really hope a 2nd season is made. That would be epic.
My main qualm with the manga was that it's hard to draw all the action. Ouran is such a hyper show and it's always really hard to draw lots of motion and once, which is why i never really read past the 1st few chapters. Plus I don't really want to be reading the same stuff as i watched, though i guess that comes with just reading through.... |

My only opinion of the manga is based off of the first volume, and I really didn't like the first volume that much. I guess I should get some more =/

Ouran high school host club !
Great ! And I like the end of this anime, although I still has no time to read manga ,I watched the anime. The end of it is my favorite one . The main femaile character is so kindness and cleaver.(Anyway,is there anyone who know what's her name? And I know hers Chinses name ,but not English or Japanese) Besides ,all the members of this club are warm-heart .

Ah, Ouran High School Host Club is the anime that brought me back into animefandom. I think that it is one of the best anime out there--of course that only applies if you like romantic comedy.
When I first heard of it, I didn't want to watch it. I thought that it would be a yaoi fest, and I tend to not like yaoi. But because of a recommendation of a friend, I ended up reading some of the manga and then watching the anime on Funimation's website. I fell in love after about five episodes. I liked the anime more than the manga, although I know that the manga has more detail and more stuff going on it. I felt that the anime was better paced, and it is nice to see a lot of the jokes in fluid animation. Plus, I have become a sucker for the anime artstyle. EDIT: Well, while I'm still the last poster, I may as well ramble about my thoughts on the characters" Tamaki: He's absolutely adorable. Sure, sometimes his daddy complex grates on me a little bit (Did you really believe that you were Haruhi's dad, Tamaki?") but I just love the guy for his melodramatics, spiritedness, charm, and sweetness. I'm quite a fan of the fact that Haruhi falls for him--for once, the main heroine of a shoujo manga series falls in love with the nice guy as opposed to the asswipe. :glares at Fushigi Yugi's Miaka: Kyoya: I wuffle him. I usually am pretty neutral on the "Cool" type of character in manga, anime, and video games; but Kyoya is just cool. I just love the fact that despite his usual distant and calculating nature, he still has fun with the group and I also love the commentary that he makes. "I hear you talking," in response to Tamaki's "Are you listening?" Priceless. One thing that I found interesting is that Bisco Hatori considered cutting him from the cast if her page allotment was forty pages shorter. Really? Him over the third years? He's got way more character development than them. The Hitachiin twins in general: I love their symmetry. Together, they made me a huge fan of twins in anime. Hikaru: Gotta love that cute little prankster. His twincest acts make me blush every single time. Moreover, I really like his character development; so alike, yet so different from his brother. I never would have guessed that Hatori would have fleshed out the "alike yet different" thing so much; I expected the twins to be like the two girl twins from Lisa's class in the Simpsons where you wouldn't really care as to who was who. For Hikaru himself, I always liked that he was the dominant leader between the two twins. And yet.. Kaoru: He's so cute. I just love the little submissive one of the twins. What really made me like him was the episode when Arai was introduced. The way he just sat there watching his brother, waiting for approval instead of joining his other friends just gave me cute spasms. Also, I like that he's more gentle and "normal" than his brother. Uh huh, very cute. Mitsukuni Haninozuka: Y'know, for a mascot character, I really like him a lot. I thought that I would forget about him, but he pulls off cutesyness in a good way. I kinda find him more attractive in serious mode as opposed to usual cutesy mode, but that's me. Takashi Morinozuka: I like his quiet presence, and he's really funny. Although, I wish that the author did more with him... Haruhi: I like her as she's a breath of fresh air compared to most shojo heroines. However, I really do wish that she had a little more enthusiasm about stuff. She reminds me of Spongebob's Squidward in the fact that she always kinda has a glazed look in the eyes, which is funny, but I still wish that she had ambitions and enthusiasm about some things in life.
