Wow you guys seem to really hate alot of things about us. But my question still stands, if you hate/dislikes something what can be done about it. Suggestion, ideas and action. We do have a lot of problems but it's not hopeless, we just have to work at it!

Nah,thats like saying if we were all one country one race of one mind.
I for one like diversity and change.
Even if we made earth into one politic, religion(or none) a one country's
diverse views would lead to civil unrest.
We gotta respect each others views on politics religions or non religious
convictions.
People gotta quit killing people "in the name of" wether it is religion,politics,
or love of just killing.
The answer is in compassion forgiveness taking the time to understand
and those willing to cast aside the belief/conviction that murdering your fellow human
is ok.
That is what has to stop first is killing.

People will always disagree and find things to fight over, its simply who we are. And I dont think thats all a bad thing. Yeah gunning somebody down on the street in cold blood is wrong but things like wars and such can have plus sides on humanity.

Humans need conflict to a certain degree in order to grow and better ourselfs. Without conflict we have nothing to challenge us and encourage us to advance. Think of it this way, suppose you own a computer company. Now imagine there is another computer company that comes out with a faster computer then the one you make and steals your customers, what do you do? You would make a faster comp to win back your customers. Thus you get technological advancment at a faster rate than if you had just had one computer company with nobody to challenge them. Its the same thing with wars and such, new technologies and sometimes even new ideals are born out of wars and conflict. Some of the most common devices that we have in our homes such as microwaves and computers came from wars. Mnay of our ethics and ideals are born and/or enforced by conflict. If we all "respected" each other views then things like slavery and genocide would be ok because we would have to "respect" the views of people who think certain groups of people are lower than others. If humans just all got along with each other and nobody ever got into fights or anything we really would not advance at all, or atleast not as quickly.

Another example would be to compare more warlike cultures to peacefull ones. The native americans did not wage large scale wars very often, mostly they would just raid each other for resources and such. As a result thier technology did not advance very much through thier history. They lived the same way for hundreds of years with no major changes. Now take a look at europe during the same time frame. Large scale wars are very common there. As a result we see huge leaps in technology very quickly. They went from swords and horse drawn wagons to rifles and steam enginees.

If everybody never disagreed, never questioned anything, never had any real conflict, we would not be as advanced as we are today. People need to fight and disagree to keep things moving. You view the infighting among humans as a weakness that should be removed, I see it as one of our greatest strengths. It is our constant struggle against each other, the constant clash of ideals and ethics the drives the advancement of our race.

competition -> rivalry between two or more persons or groups for an object desired in common, usually resulting in a victor and a loser but not necessarily involving the destruction of the latter.

so I believe that the correct term that encourage human to advance is "competition" and not "conflicts"

all your examples like "suppose you own a computer company. Now imagine there is another computer company that comes out with a faster computer " is talking about competition and not conflicts

same thing for war, in war, you see the enemy has better technology, so there is a competition to obtain the best technology.
so it is competition that spurred the researchers to develop better technology and not conflict

Had there not been a war there would not have been a reason for researchers to create better technology otherwise they face danger to thier way of life. Also if your computer company fails to keep up with the others you will go out of bussiness sooner or later resulting in the "destruction" of the company which results in no more job and again your way of life is in danger sine you now have no money, hence why the comparison was valid since the result was the same just brought about by a different means. I was trying to show the fact that just like in war you need to stay a step ahead if you intend to survive. You may use whatever term you desire but the point still stands, humans need to threaten and challenge each other to invoke advancment. The most common and powerful example of this is war, eliminate war and you stud advancement because few things are as demanding as war in terms of making sure your side is better than the other.

If you wish to use different words thats fine, but my point remains true, you eliminate humans ability to challenge each other you limit our ability to progres. Many of the great ancient cultures such as the greeks, romans, chinese, egyptians etc all fought wars on a regular bases and as a result progressed on a regular bases while more peaceful cultures progressed slower. The threat of war provides a constant need to improve yourself so you are ready to take on anybody who challenges you. Remove the threat and you remove the need.

Had ww2 never came about you would not be able to post your comment because computers would not be around, seeing as the first real computers where created during the war to help compute the path of artillery shells and help break communication codes. WW2 was a massive loss of life but also saw massive advancment in technology. Everything from microwaves to nuclear power are a result of that war. I am not saying the ends justify the means but keep in mind that without these things we would not be half as advanced as we are now.
